RESIDENTIAL DESIGN

Sugarloaf
Just beyond the pool, this custom home backs up to a tee box, so outdoor living was a priority. A covered patio and veranda with kitchen line the entire back of this home. Master en suite with enormous closet, a large study, guest room, and a dream of a utility room are all located on the first floor with the dining, kitchen, breakfast, and huge family room. Upstairs in this 4,000 square foot home you will find two additional bedrooms with private baths and a gameroom.

Chandon
A contemporary Tuscan custom home that backs to a small lake and golf course was ideal for this couple. The plan is over 2,400 square feet with an impressive master suite, study with built-in Murphy bed, and a separate Guest House and bath. In keeping with the Tuscan style, the home has a low tile roof, beautiful stonework, a portico, an interior courtyard, and a large covered outdoor living area that leads to the pool. Vaulted and beamed ceiling complete the look. This is one of my six designs on this street.
Skyline
The 47 degree slope of this lot made for an interesting drive and custom home design. With 3 levels and an elevator, we were able to get an apartment and garage on the lower floor.  The main floor has the living, formal dining, kitchen, large covered and uncovered patios, and a master with separate baths. The third level has two more bedrooms, baths and an enormous open family room with its own covered deck - all overlooking Lake Travis.
Atlanta
This custom residence is within a stone's throw of the Town Lake running trail.  The small lot has 3 majestic heritage oaks scattered down the center.  With a T-shape garage, we were able to get an open living/kitchen/dining concept, a guest/study and private bath as well as a powder room, utility, and outdoor patio and kitchen. Upstairs we have a large loft with a step-out, another bedroom, bath, and the master en suite.
Sugarloaf
This was the builder's model home for a time.  The interior of this study shows the asymmetrical vaulted ceiling, offset clerestory windows and rough hewn beams that complement the custom cabinets and floors.
Faultline
This spec home was modeled after a much larger design that I did as a custom.  In 4,000 square feet we were able to design a home for a large family, friends, and entertaining. Two separate casitas, and a cozy covered courtyard with fireplace lead to the 2-story main house with formal dining, large living, breakfast, kitchen, computer nook, mudroom, huge laundry, bedroom, bath, and master.  Upstairs has a bedroom with private bath, a gameroom, bath, and a large balcony overlooking the lake. Pool, double boat lifts, and outdoor kitchen complete this home.
Sugarloaf
This is one of five homes that I have designed on this one street. This 3,800 square foot home was designed for a couple with a love of vintage automobiles, golf, and Santé Fe. The open concept family, dining, kitchen and breakfast area has massive beams to emphasize the tall ceilings and makes for a wonderful entertaining space.  This detail is carried through to the master suite, and study.  The front porch and large covered patio including a living area with fireplace have exposed rafters and continue to flow outdoors with a view of the golf course just past the pool.
Champion
This is the first of two homes designed for this client at the Lakeway Airport.  The home itself is 5,500 square feet with plenty of room for a large family.  The interesting design feature is the garage that doubles as an airplane hangar. With a 21 foot ceiling and 3,400 square feet, this garage can handle more than one private aircraft. The most important criteria were to give the family what they needed on the inside and have the exterior blend in with the neighboring homes.
Trebled Waters
A new architecturally historic home designed and crafted with old-fashioned character and style. This home and neighborhood brings back the age when neighbors visited from their front porches or sitting on the stoop.  The main house has 2,400 square feet with the master, living, dining, kitchen/breakfast, and powder room down and 2 more bedrooms, adjoining bath and computer loft up. A separate guest house is found on the way to the garage.

Diamond Path
What do you get when you design a custom home for an interior decorator on acreage in the country?  Simple clean lines with lots of flare. Balance and symmetry define this French Modern Country style, with a steep roof and dormer windows. There is over 3,000 square feet on the main level with 3 bedrooms, office, game/bunk room, and gym.  The guest apartment is nestled over the garage.  The open beamed kitchen/dining/family room has 12' walls, vaulting to over 20' at the ridge with dormers for added light.  This U-shaped home accomodates the T-shaped pool. Stay tuned for the addition, already in the design stage.
